Target group
You are an ambulance or fire engine driver and you work for a regional ambulance service or one of the security areas and you are going to provide driving instruction for that ambulance service or security area. Or you are a driver of another designated emergency service and you are going to provide driving instruction for that service.
Goal
Bringing your knowledge, driving skills and didactic skills to such a good level that you are able to give driving instruction to drivers of emergency services.
Course location(s)
This course will take place on the public road and partly at a private practice location.
Report
You will receive an extensive written report of each training week.
Point to note
It is not a legal obligation to be in possession of the PDS Advanced Instructor Training OGS+ in order to be able to give driving instruction to emergency services. However, the Instructor’s License for Motor Vehicle Driver Instruction and the Instructor’s License for OGS+, which are required by law, do not provide a broad basis for being able to provide instruction to this target group in a responsible manner. When you have completed the PDS Teaching Driving Course OGS+, you do have the required level of subject-specific knowledge and skills.
PDS Rijopleidingen has demonstrably and successfully trained many advanced instructors for emergency services. References can be provided on request.
Examination and Certification
This Course will be ended with a practical exam. The examination will be organised and examined internally by PDS. If you pass this examination, PDS will issue the PDS DRO OGS+ Certificate from PDS.
